| QUESTION:
How do I teach a five year old about one's
soul? My five year old son lost his Grandma 4 months ago. He asks a lot of
questions about her and where she is now. I've only just begun to learn
about soul and karma etc through reading a few books (Chopra, Dyer, and
Zukav). I don't want to simply say "oh she's in heaven now watching over
you" It doesn't suit my beliefs. I do believe she is near him but I'd like
to know what further can be explained to him and how. Any suggestions? Are
there any books geared towards children in this subject area? I know I
haven't elaborated much here since I haven't much time. Anything you can
tell me would be appreciated.
Thanks, Pam
Dear Pam:
Thank you very much for bringing up
such an important topic. I truly admire your desire to encourage your
son's spiritual knowledge in truth.
Perhaps the simplest way to
explain to a five year old would be to stress the fact that he - like all
of us - is a SOUL in a HUMAN BODY, and not a human body with a soul. When
he puts on a coat, he does not become a coat, and when we souls choose to
put on a human body, we do not become the body - that is just temporary.
We are still ourselves, our souls, here on the earth plane for however
long this lifetime is, and then we return to infinity where we truly
reside. That infinity is where his Grandma is.
Because we humans
have chosen to experience this lifetime in human form, we are somewhat
limited, and cannot access the infinite where souls reside. But we also
have the opportunity to enjoy the many physical experiences and delights
that are possible as human beings. Tell him to imagine he is a cat, a
dolphin, an elephant. If he IS one of those animals - his soul manifesting
in that particular form, there are many things he can't do that he can do
now, but also many other new things he could do - swim in the ocean, jump
up to the roof, or tower over the other animals. Every physical form has
its own set of abilities and restrictions, and he is experiencing the
human form right now where as Grandma is experiencing spirit
form.
Children are especially good at grasping such concepts
because they are not that far removed from their own source as we adults.
By adulthood, we have spent many years denying our souls in favour of ego,
and learning to live within the confines of society and the physical
plane. When you ask a child to BE a cat - he becomes a cat. Ask him to BE
his soul - and see what happens. Maybe he'll meet his Grandma - and you
will hear some wonderful stories about his adventure.

blessings to you both Zsuzsana |
QUESTION:
Greetings from New Zealand. Here is the
biggest question of my life.....
When I was between 20 and 45. I
learn several ways of affirming (or Conscious Creation). I would visualise
what I wanted, make a contact with Universal Forces and believe that it
would manifest.
I manifested 2 new cars (from a standing start of
no money, both times in 26 days), one old house and one modern ranch
house, two wives {consectively of course) two lovely kids, one lover-
soulmate, many jobs and contracts and improvements to my personal nature.
Over the last 19 years, I have not been able to do this. I have searched
for the reason within and without. I am on Abraham-Hicks list and work
at their exercises in Deliberate Creation. In 2 years, I have only managed
to manifest a visit from a butterfly, but he did come twice! Can you offer
a clue?
Thanks, Eric/Huggie
Dear Eric:
As you know, there are many
techniques and just as many 'caveats' in manifesting abundance and
prosperity. The whole area of 'manifesting' is a hugely complex one, and
without knowing the details of your approach, your affirmations, your
exact focus, I can only advise you in a general way about some of recent
observations on this topic.
In general, Eric, I have found that
when we focus too 'hard' on manifesting, we are automatically creating
blockages by our very focus on what we WANT - what we wish to bring into
our lives - and therefore on what we LACK.
When you are sensing a
stasis as you feel you have been, it is probably the universe asking you
to relax and to 'let go'. Only in that way can you clear the energies
around you and allow the universe to reintroduce the natural harmony,
balance and growth back into your life.
The hardest thing to truly
accept, I have found, in creating abundance or in manifesting our desires,
is to accept that we truly live in abundance already, and that is our
rightful and natural state. Do you keep a gratitude journal, Eric?
Sometime simply acknowledging the many blessings and the abundance that
already exists in our lives help to 1. Find our inner joy and 2. Attract
more of the same.
Do you accept that you are a deserving person?
Sometimes all the affirmations fall by the wayside and do not come to
fruition because an inner voice has been programmed saying "You do not
deserve to be ___" -- you fill in the blank. What we choose to affirm is
often chosen because we have a feeling of inadequacy or need in a certain
area.
Also--- There is no reason to affirm that you are
prosperous if money overflows your bank account. There is no reason to
affirm love when your world is filled with passion and joy of a great
relationship. There is no reason to affirm harmony when things are so
sweetly balanced that one is always in joy and delight.
One more
thought, Eric. There are two components to 'manifesting'. The first
involves programming your subconscious mind with literal instructions and
facts. According to my friend Debbie S. Phillips, your subconscious needs
to hear that you believe it is already true, then it will work hard to
guide your automatic actions to make it outwardly true.
However,
she says, the "Higher powers (God, Angels, Universal Spirit, Goddess,
etc.) need you to be less specific and more trusting: ie I want to resolve
all my money worries in the best way possible. Please help me do the work
I am meant to do in this life. Help me to recognise opportunities and
people that are sent my way, and to use them for everyone's highest good.'
It's not an either/or situation. You need BOTH your subconscious
AND the universe working for you, especially when it's a big goal --or a
big change. Eric, when I 'ask' the universe for something, I always add
the phrase 'if it is for my highest good and the highest good of all
concerned'. I have found this to be a crucial part of prayer or
manifesting, and I truly believe that, being 'only' human, we must trust
that what we receive (and don't receive) is for our highest good,
providing of course that our prayers are coming from a place of light and
love.
You have obviously asked for and welcomed many, many
blessings into your life, large and small, material and spiritual. I think
manifesting two butterflies is a joyous miracle - and that you are truly
blessed.

QUESTION:
How do you know if a tarot reading is
accurate? Dose the way you say your question matter?
Anon.
Hello!
The way you ask your question matters
only in that you must be thinking the same thing at the moment you ask
your question!!! Many times, your mind has already made up its mind about
a current situation when you ask your question. This will influence the
outcome, definitely! The cards pick up your feelings as well as your
situation. They also pick up your wishes and fears. You must concentrate
on the question.
Example: you might ask if you will be finding
employment soon, but thinking perhaps that you want to know if you will
finally be finding your "right" livelihood because you're tired of doing
jobs that don't do anything for you. In this case, the cards might say,
"no" , but you might just find a job the next day. Interpretation? You
asked if you will find employment soon, but were thinking something
entirely different. The cards said no to what you were THINKING, not what
you ultimately asked. The job you got the next day, then, is NOT your
"right" livelihood job....just a job. At first, then, it would seem that
the reading was not accurate; however, in time, you may find that the job
you took is not panning out, and it may take months before you finally
find your "niche" job.
The lesson?? Mean what you say and say what
you mean.

Hi Zsuzsana,
Can you please tell me if I have an angel
and what I have done wrong in the past or what I should do in the present
or future to have a better life. I am seeking advice from you because I
have read what others had to say and I am impressed.
Thank
you. I.
Dear One,
you have done nothing 'wrong' any
time you have listened to your inner voice. Anything and everything you
have ever done has led you to where you are now - a wondrous and worthy
stage of your spiritual journey. When you realize that the Divine and ALL
the answers are within you, you will also realize how truly loved you are.
We are not perfect. We are human. We have chosen this human experience to
learn very important lessons as well as to assist others in learning their
lessons. Mistakes are a very necessary learning experience and your angels
are beside you holding your hand through the mistakes as well as your
triumphs. (I will send you more information about your angel in a separate
letter).
Each stage of your journey is also a new starting point.
Choose your path from this point and walk it in the way which your spirit
says is right!

Dear Zsuzsana,
My religion has no name. It's all about
helping when I can and feeling I've done someone, somewhere, some good.
It's just being me. I was raised a Christian. As I got older I noticed
that it was based on things nobody really knew about. And I wanted my life
to be about things that mattered here and now. Things I could
see....things that were real. Things I could be sure about. I call myself
a realist. Maybe there is a name for what I believe. But I don't know. I
was just curious. Any comments?
Anon.
Hi!
Thanks for your question. In replying to
you, I also welcome the opportunity to think a little about what religion
I am! How very 'human' it is that we want to label something - identify
it, name it, quantify it, etc., before we can truly believe in it! The
truth of the matter is, though, that unfortunately, labels and doctrines
tend to distort religion and divide humanity, so maybe it IS better to
have a no-name religion. Oftentimes. by the very act of naming a religion,
we create barriers in the form of judgements or associations, while
overlooking the core truths and beliefs held by its followers. (There's a
very good reason for the maxim that one should never discuss religion or
politics at the dinner table ~smile~)
You most certainly are not
alone. Many of my readers and friends follow and accept tenets from many
different paths and faiths and by believing in themselves first, and the
religion second, they have no problem or confusion. From Buddhism to
Christianity, Wicca to Santeria, many people find a common thread in the
'love' and wisdom which are the basis of these faiths, and they pick and
choose those beliefs, rituals, or practices from each path which appeal to
them most. Any 'religion' or belief system based on Universal Love, as
yours obviously is, is a gift to be shared and the most beautiful thing
is, that the more you share it, the more like-minded spirits you find.
Love truly is the common denominator of human spirituality.
Many
blessings on your path, Zsuzsana

Dear Zsuzsana,
for a while now, I am trying to learn about
reality creation and relationship metaphysics. One concept that I believe
many, including me, are struggling with is self love. It seems so easy but
yet so hard at times to give ourselves love and yet we can't find love
without loving ourselves first. Do you have some suggestions or ways to
make it easier to start loving ourselves, specially if we feel we failed
and in general suggestions how to overcome this kind of obstacle and block
would be very welcomed.
Blessed be Emina
Dear Emina:
Thank you for a wonderful
question. You are right in saying that self-love is the most difficult
love to recognize and express, and yes, it is the most
important!
My favourite method of 'exercising' this type of love is
a very simple one. I imagine a golden light of universal love in my heart
area, and I acknowledge that this is my spirit and it is filled with love.
Then I picture this golden light shooting up through my body, through my
crown chakra, and connecting ultimately with the great Spirit. When I
picture this connection, I realize that if I am part of the ALL, and ALL
is love, then I am loved and must love myself in order to honour Spirit.
I would also recommend you read a wonderful article by Carol
Tuttle entitled Remembering Wholeness which you will find in the Soulfood
section.
Love, Zsuzsana
